Local models
When to use local models
Section titled “When to use local models”Use the local model path when the project data does not live in Autodesk Construction Cloud or when your team needs to work from files stored locally.
Supported file types include:
RVTNWDIFCZIPpackages for linked model sets
Local upload flow
Section titled “Local upload flow”- Open the Frame dashboard.
- Add a model from your device.
- Choose the local file or package.
- Wait for processing to finish.
- Open the model in the viewer or use it in reporting workflows once the status reaches Ready.
What happens after translation
Section titled “What happens after translation”After translation, the model becomes available to the same downstream workflows used by ACC-connected models:
- viewer review
- Power BI reporting
- Excel Add-In exports
- Frame AI workflows
